BAKER - Janice L. Baker, age 72, of Grand Rapids, formerly of Marne, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Tuesday, September 17, 2013. Janice is survived by her loving children, Shannon Acton, Shawn Johnson, Kevin Johnson, Dusty (Kerri) Johnson, Gene Jr. (Janie) Baker, Emmett (Linda) Baker, Steven (Karri) Baker; eight grandchildren; one great grand daughter; sisters, Cheryl Borst and Gail Eggleston; several cousins and nieces. She was recently preceded in death by her beloved husband, Gene Baker. Janice enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren, crocheting, sewing, quilting and browsing on the computer. The family will receive visitors at the Beuschel Funeral Home 5018 Alpine Avenue, Comstock Park on Thursday, September 19 from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. The celebration of Janice's life will be offered at 10:00 a.m., on Friday, September 20, with visitation one hour prior, at the Beuschel Funeral Home, with Pastor Patrick Jackson as celebrant from Emmanuel Baptist Church.
