JOHNSON - Janice Clara (Wiltenburg) Johnson, age 88, of Kent City, lived a happy faithful life over her 88 years. She was born on the family farm in Conklin, Michigan and passed away Monday, November 18, 2019 surrounded by her family who loved her dearly and will miss her loving gentle ways. Janice graduated from Coopersville High School and attended Grand Rapids Junior College. She was employed at the Sparta Foundry for 10 years following college. Janice did some substitute teaching for a short time. She finished her career at the United States Postal Service where she proudly worked for 27 years. Janice volunteered for the Santa Claus Girls as well as working at the Mamrelund Lutheran Food Pantry for many years after retirement. She is preceded in death by by her loving husband, of 44 years, Roger; her twin grandsons, Eric and Bradley Johnson; and step-son, Steven Johnson. Janice is survived by her son, Jeffrey (Dianne) Johnson; grandsons, Greg (Riley Rouse) and Brett Johnson. The family will greet family and friends at Mamrelund Lutheran Church, 4085 Lutheran Church Road N.W., from 11:00 a.m., to 1:00 p.m., on Friday, November 22, 2019. The funeral service celebrating Janice's life will follow at 1:00 p.m., with Jeff Amlotte, presiding. A private interment will be held in Idlewild Cemetery.
