Jaynee Joyce Hoag, aged 80, of Sand Lake, MI passed away on Wednesday, June 4, 2025 with her family by her side. Jaynee fought a long five and a half year battle with Alzheimer's Disease and is now with her Lord and Savior. She was a school bus driver at Sparta Area Schools for 24 years and retired in 2004. Jaynee was preceded in death by her parents, Cliff and Maxine Reister; brothers, Michael and Martin Reister; sister, Darlene Bekins. Jaynee is survived by her husband of 49 years, James; children, David (Kim) Platt of Conklin, Duwayne (Amy) Platt of Greenville, Michelle (Charlie) Jaquays of Cedar Springs, Brian Hoag of AZ; step children, Rick (Kerri) Hoffman of Grandville, Sue (Fred) Ferreyra; grandchildren, Jamie, Mike and Ashley Platt, Kyleigh (Dan) Golden, Brady Platt, Elizabeth (Dakota) Stephens, Tyler (Paige) Hoag, Erika Hoag, Nick Hoffman, Shawn (Jesse) Ferreyra, Heather (Mike) Hudon; great grandchildren, Noah, Peyton, Jacob, Harper, Brooklyn, Annaliese, Astrid, Cody, Freyja; many nieces and nephews. Jaynee was a life long member of Trinity Lutheran Church, 1379 Harding St., Conklin, MI where a visitation will take place on Tuesday, June 10 from 4:00 - 6:00 pm with a private graveside service to follow in Trinity Lutheran Cemetery. The family would like to give a special thank you to West Michigan Hospice for their compassionate care. Those who wish may make memorial donations in memory of Jaynee to Trinity Lutheran Church.
