CORTEWAY - JoeEda E. Corteway (Holtzlander), age 75, of Comstock Park, entered her Heavenly home on Sunday, March 3, 2019 at SKLD Resident Home. She is preceded in death by her parents, Lorenzo and Edith Holtzlander; sisters, Maxine Uzarski and Anna Mae Holtzlander; her brothers, Clair and Lorenzo Jr. Holtzlander; brother in laws, Duane Denhof Sr., Robert (Bud) Uzarski and nephew, Duane Denhof Jr. JoeEda is survived by her husband David Corteway; devoted sisters, Mary Ellen Denhof; step mother, Patty Holtzlander; nieces, April Uzarski, Renee (Gary) Wright and nephews, Kim Uzarski, Brian (Pam) Denhof, Brad and Sara Ruch. Special friends Lee and Marilyn Brenner. She was a Nurses Aide at Chrisitan Rest Home and Pilgrim Manor for over 30 years. She also was employed at Walmart on Alpine for 22 years. JoeEda enjoyed being with her family, helping other people, playing cards and dancing. She was always seen with a Hot Cup of Coffee in her hands. Her family would like to thank the Nurses and Staff at SKLD North Resident Home for the care and friendship towards JoeEda and her family we would also like to thank Faith Hospice for their Care and Support these last couple of weeks. The family will receive family and friends for visitation at the Beuschel Funeral Home, 5018 Alpine Avenue, Comstock Park from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m., Thursday, March 7, 2019. The celebration of JoeEda's life will be at 12:00 p.m., Friday, March 8, 2019 with Pastor Daren Penwell of Bailey Christian Church at the funeral home with visitation one hour prior.
