CICHY - John A. Cichy, age 65, of Rockford, passed away with a short term illness of cancer on Friday, December 27, 2019. John was preceded in death by his parents, and sister. He is survived by the love of his life of 14 years, Tamara Alt; daughter, Astra Moore; son, Trent Cichy; grandson, Elwin Dillard. John loved working in the yard, nature and wildlife. He was a gamer and enjoyed playing the Vikings War of the Clans. John was a proud owner of a polishing business, working for the elite families in the Grand Rapids area. He loved spending time with his Yorkie dogs. John proudly served his country in the United States Army. The family will receive family and friends at the Beuschel Funeral Home, 5018 Alpine Avenue, Comstock Park on Saturday, January 4, 2020 from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. A Memorial Celebration of John's life will follow with the Auspice of Kent County Veterans Honor Guard at the funeral home.
