KENT - John A. Kent, age 79, of Casnovia, went to rest peacefully on Wednesday, June 2, 2021. He was preceded in death by his parents H. John and Rose Kent; nephew Brady Kent. John is survived by his children, Raymond Kent Ortega, Ryan (Kendra) Ortega, Becky (Scott) Helderop, and Briget Ortega; several grandchildren; one great-grandchild; siblings, Mary (Stuart) Goodfellow, Rosanne (Tom) Stream, Richard (Nikki) Kent, Linda (Howard) Miller, Frances (Dewey) Shaw, James (Sandra) Kent, Robert Kent, Mark (Jaimi) Kent, Therese Kent, and David (Gayle) Kent; many nieces and nephews. John served his country faithfully for 20 years as a career Navy man. He had many hobbies that he enjoyed including motorcycles, horses, and rifles. John cared for the Native American Indians and he was also a health enthusiast. The family will receive family and friends at Moss Ridge Banquet Center, 13545 Apple Avenue, Ravenna, on Sunday, June 6, 2021 from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. and 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. A time of sharing will be offered at Moss Ridge Banquet Center on Monday, June 7, 2021 at 11:30 a.m. Private interment will be held at 10:00 a.m. in St. Francis Xavier Cemetery.
