John Cantrell Sr. left us on June 4, 2024 at the age of 70 after a short battle with cancer. He was born April 19, 1954, in Laredo, Texas, the son of Donald Cantrell Sr. and Consuelo (De Hoyos) Cantrell. Through treatment and his final days, he never lost his sense of humor. His immense humor and unique ability to make others smile was something he was known for by all his friends and family and will be greatly missed. John was a veteran and served his country for 24 years as part of the U.S. Air Force which brought him to 50+ countries and many exhilarating adventures.

John was preceded in death by his parents, Donald Sr. and Consuelo; brother, Tim; and son, Stephen. He is survived by his wife, Nancy; children, Christopher, John Jr, and Kimberly; and brother, Donald Jr..

To celebrate John's incredible life, we will be gathering on Sunday, June 9 th , at 3 PM at the Cantrell residence for a Potluck Celebration of Life. In lieu of traditional mourning, we request the joy of your company to reflect on John's vibrant life and spirit.
