Mr. Joseph Thomas Reddy, age 66, of Ada, Michigan, passed away Sunday, February 6, 2022. He was born on August 12, 1955 in Detroit, MI to William and Sheila (Hogan) Reddy. Joe graduated from Rogers High School in Wyoming, MI with the Class of 1973. He married Terri K. Harvey on March 27, 1976 in Wyoming, MI. Joe was an auto body repairman working with Comstock Park Body Shop for 30 years. Racing was Joe's passion. He began drag racing at age 18 and his pinnacle was winning the Super Stock E Class at the 1978 U.S. Nationals in Indianapolis. At age of 35, he transitioned to mountain bike racing and went on to win dozens of medals including at national races in California, Texas, and Arizona. Joe was also known to be an adventurist, going reef snorkeling and downhill skiing at age 65. Joe loved his family dearly and being a grandfather became his biggest win. Over the last 13 years, spending time with his four grandchildren was the highlight of his life. Joe is survived by his wife, Terri Reddy; children, Joe & Miranda Reddy and Jacque & Nick Cisler; four grandchildren, Mikayla and Allison Reddy, Clara and Caden Cisler; three brothers, Bill (Ann) Reddy, John Reddy, Dan (Sandi) Reddy; one sister Sheila (Dave) Freund; also, several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents. The funeral service for Joe will be held Friday, February 11, 2022 at 2:00 pm from the Beuschel Funeral Home, with Pastor Dale Kleinheksel officiating. Visitation will be Thursday from 6-8 pm and also one hour prior to the service at the Beuschel Funeral Home, 5018 Alpine Ave., NW, Comstock Park, MI 49321.
