SMITHE- Joseph Allen Smithe age 47, of Grand Rapids passed away May 21, to be with his Lord.. He is survived by his loving mother Barbara (Philip) Smithe-Shook , and by his dad Robert (Diane)Smithe. His wife, Kim Smithe (Blair), sons Joshua Robert and Jacob Allen Smithe. Step children, Leah Raczka and Benjamin Raczka, brothers, Robert (Cheryl) Smithe and Matthew (Lindsay) Smithe, and sister, Donna (Chuck) Button. A Very Special Friend Karen Furman who comforted and consoled him in his last days and their extended family; Tanya, Marie, and Tyler Gaastra, Rachel Furman and three grandchildren . He was employed by Imperial Metals, he loved NASCAR, laughing, music, and spending time with his friend Bob at Pine Lake and working with wood. A Memorial Service will be offered Tuesday, June 7 at 11:00 am. at Beuschel Funeral Home, 5018 Alpine Ave., Comstock Park with Father Thomas Simons as celebrant. There will be a visitation from 9:00 to 11:00 am on Tuesday. As Joe wished cremation has taken place at Marshall Funeral Home Greenvile, MI. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions would be appreciated.
