MUMA - Kathleen "Katie" (Maguire) Muma, age 48, of Allendale, the Lord called her home, a beautiful and loyal soul on Tuesday, December 26, 2017. Katie was preceded in death by her mother, Patricia Maguire; parents-in-law, Richard and Dagmar Muma; brother, Keith Maguire; and sister-in-law, Cheryl Ostergren. She is survived by her loving husband of 18 years, Jeffrey Muma; daughter, Elyse; sons, Benjamin and Andrew; father, George Maguire; brothers, Michael (Laura) Maguire, Kevin (Cheryl) Maguire, Brian (Teresa) Maguire; sisters, Barbara (Douglas) Anderle and Colleen (David) Jackson; brother-in-law, David and sister-in-law, Leanne Muma; several nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts, uncles, and many, many dear friends. Katie was a member of St. Luke University Parish, Allendale. She graduated from Kenowa Hills High School and attended GRCC and GVSU, then was a long-time employee of Orthopedic Associates of Michigan, and more recently worked for Insurance Data Services. Katie loved her dogs, and was very active in Hearts of Hope Dog Rescue. Special thanks to Barb, Leanne, and dearest friend, Janelle Ridenour for their abundant love, support and care during this difficult journey. The family offers their deepest appreciation to close friends and caregivers, Theresa VanLeeuwen, Deb McMaster, Belann Bennett and Lynette Barnard. Thank you to the many donors of financial support and meals and to the Faith Hospice staff at Trillium Woods. To the Allendale community, and good people of St. Luke's and Shields of Hope, your kindness and generosity lifted Katie's spirits, and will remain in our hearts forever. The family will greet family and friends at the Beuschel funeral home on Friday, December 29, 2017 from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m., with the Vigil Service at 7:30 p.m. The Mass of Christian Burial will be offered on Saturday, December 30, 2017 at 11:00 a.m, with visitation one hour prior to the service, at St. Luke's Catholic Church, 10144 42nd Avenue, Allendale, with Father Bill VanderWerff officiating.
