JOHNSON - Kathryn "Kathy" Johnson (Zimmer), age 58, of Marne, unexpectedly passed away on Wednesday, May 19, 2021. She was preceded in death by her mother, Jacqueline Zimmer; brother, Michael Zimmer; niece, Cathy McManus; and mother-in-law, Theresa Johnson. Kathy is survived by her loving husband of 35 years, Michael Johnson; children, Leanne (Adam) Hawley and Daniel (Ashley) Johnson; granddaughters, Brianne and Marlee Hawley; father, Paul Zimmer Sr.; siblings, Paul (Linda) Zimmer Jr., Barbara (Claude) McManus, Margaret (Brian) Smith; father-in-law, Robert Johnson; many nieces and nephews. Kathy graduated from West Catholic High School with the class of 1981. Being "Maw" to her grandkids was one of the greatest sources of joy in her life. She loved being able to take mother-sister trips with her mom. Kathy's family will remember fondly her love/hate relationship with her dog. The family will receive family and friends at Beuschel Funeral Home, 5018 Alpine Avenue, Comstock Park, on Monday, May 24, 2021 from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., with the Rosary Service at 7:30 p.m. with Deacon Jerry Roersma. The Mass of Christian Burial will be offered at St Anthony of Padua Catholic Church, 2510 Richmond St. NW, Grand Rapids, on Tuesday, May 25, 2021 at 11:00 a.m., with visitation one hour prior, officiating Rev.
