CHAPMAN - Kayla M. Chapman, age 17, of Comstock Park, unexpectedly passed away and went to be in the arms of Jesus Christ on Wednesday, April 14, 2021. She was preceded in death by her aunt, Danielle Fitzpatrick. Kayla is survived by parents, Mark and Nicole Chapman; sister, Amber (Jordan) Chapman; brother, Marcus Chapman; grandparents, Mark and Deb Chapman, Kevin and Lori Fitzpatrick; great-grandparents, David and Katherine McKellar; aunts and uncles, John (Dawn) Dombrowski, Andrew (Jamie) Dombrowski, Bret (Kelli) Hubbard, Scott (Lisa) Chapman, Joe (Missy) VanBennekom, Josh (Tammi) Eickelberg; boyfriend, Parker Rapelje; many cousins and close friends. Kayla loved Jesus and being a part of her church. Many could take a lesson as Kayla was a true example who loved everyone. She enjoyed cooking and played basketball at Kenowa Hills High School. An extended thank you to all the staff and teachers of Kenowa Hills Schools for their support given to Kayla. The family will receive family and friends at the Beuschel Funeral Home, 5018 Alpine Avenue, Comstock Park, on Sunday, April 18, 2021 from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. The Celebration of Kayla's life will be offered on Monday, April 19, 2021 at noon, with visitation one hour prior to the service, at City Church Rockford, 3233 10 Mile Road NE, Rockford, with co-celebrants, Pastor Dan Kuhnle and Pastor Jonathon Bergsma officiating.
