Larry Dale Kooistra, age 72, passed away on Wednesday, March 8, 2023 at his home. He was retired from General Motors and a navy veteran. Larry loved the outdoors and was always up for an adventure. He was a lifetime HOG member, as well as an avid model railroader. He was preceded in death by his parents, Sydney and Joanne Kooistra. Larry is survived by his loving wife, Amy Kooistra; children, Kristin Kooistra Meringa, Stephen (Sharrell) Kooistra; grandchildren, Allory Roberts, Lucas Meringa, Lily Meringa, Sydney and Noah Kooistra; brothers, Ken (Bev) Kooistra, Lee (Dawn) Kooistra; sisters, LInda (Keith) Brew; many nieces and nephews. As Larry had wished, cremation has taken place. A memorial visitation will be held at Beuschel Funeral Home on Saturday, March 18 from 2-4 pm.
