Lizette Mata, 26, of Rockford, died on October 8, 2022. She graduated from Sparta High School and worked hard as a young mom to achieve her goal of becoming a nurse. She began her career as a nurse technician at Helen Devos Children's Hospital Emergency Department. She then became a registered nurse at Butterworth Hospital Emergency Department in 2020 after graduating from Grand Rapids Community College. Lizette's contagious smile brought joy to her son, Alfredo Jr.; parents Arturo and Patty; siblings Arturo Jr. and Anette; nephew Arturo and his mother Alyssa; grandparents and many aunts, uncles and cousins.
