DORRIS - Lloyd Dorris, age 62, of Grand Rapids, passed away peacefully, surrounded by his family on Monday, September 9, 2013. Lloyd was born on March 12, 1951 to Loyd and Lenora Dorris. He was preceded in death by his wife, Gladys; father, Loyd; and older brother, Linzie. Lloyd leaves to mourn his passing, mother, Lenora Dorris; children, Alethia Kennebrew, Anthony (Ricki) Dorris and Maurice (Laquawn) Dorris; sisters, Dorothy (Clint) Tucker, Ina (Elijah) McGee, and Kaye Turner; brother, Mauriello (Gwen) Dorris; ten grandchildren; one great grandchild and a host of relatives and friends. The celebration of Lloyd's life will be offered at 11:00 a.m., on Monday, September 16, 2013, with visitation one hour prior, at the True Light Baptist Church, with Pastor Fredricc Brock as celebrant.
