ADAMS - Lois J. Adams, age 88, passed away on Monday, March 25, 2019, at SKLD Resident Home on East Beltline in Grand Rapids, MI. Lois was born on September 27, 1930 Wilkes-Barre, PA. She was the daughter of Durbin C. Mc Dermott and Anna Helen (Jaber) McDermott. Lois was the oldest of four children, her brother Eugene McDermott of Hilton Head, SC who preceded her in her death and surviving sister Edwina Jenkins residing in the Winter Haven, FL. and her brother Durbin Don McDermott of Mantoloking, NJ. Lois was a devoted wife to Harvey Gordon Adams of Grand Rapids, MI. Lois was a loving mother to her deaceased son, Mark E. Adams and surviving daughter Doreen D. Smith, husband (Jay) and Clayton J. Adams, wife (Lisa) Lois was a Grandmother to Casey M. Adams and Kayley M. Adams, Darcy J. Parisian and Dennis (Nick) Koogler and 6 great grandchildren. Lois loved butterflies, her favorite color was yellow and she loved having people sing 'Happy Birthday' to her. She was a passionate and devoted member of the Seventh Day Adventist Church and attending services primarily in Greenville, MI. and Wyoming, MI. Lois J. Adams will be laid to rest at Lindenwood Cemetery in Fort Wayne, IN. In memory of Lois, please consider donations to Michigan Conference Association of the Seventh Day Adventist.
