Lois Ann Thome, age 87 of Grand Rapids, passed away on Friday, November 4, 2022 at the Edison Christian Health Center in Grand Rapids. Lois was born on October 8, 1935 in Grand Rapids, Michigan, the daughter of Harry and Charlene (Ambrosewicz) Wesorick. She graduated from Creston High School in 1953 and worked as an operator for Michigan Bell Telephone. Lois was spicey and spunky and loved to joke around. She will be missed by her family and friends. Lois was preceded in death by her brother, George Wesorick; her sister and brother-in-law, Delores and George Dey; her sister, Sandy Miller; and her sister-in-law, Carol Thome. Lois is survived by her husband of 66 years, Carl Thome; Steve (Julie Dykstra) Thome, Chris and Tom Van Dokkumburg, Diane and Rick Godinez, Mary and Jeff Vanderlind; her grandchildren; Ben and Lindy Thome, Jacob and Natalie Thome, Matt and Mandy Keeler, Andy and Jennifer Van Dokkumburg, Ben (fiance Carielle Nikkel), Kathy and Derek Gray, Monica and Josiah Roberts, Dan and Sarah Godinez, Kurt and Kait Vandelind, Jon and Amber Vanderlind; her fifteen great grandchildren; her sister and brother-in-law, Mickey and Larry Sprague; her brothers-in-law and sister-in-law, Walt and Clara Longcore, Marv Thome, and Bob Thome; and her many nieces and nephews. A memorial service for Lois will be held at 11:00am on Wednesday, November 9, 2022 at Beuschel Funeral Home, 5018 Alpine Avenue, Comstock Park, MI 4932. Fr. Tom Page will officiate. Relatives and friends may greet the family from 5:00pm - 7:00pm on Tuesday, November 8 at Beuschel Funeral Home. The family will also greet visitors one hour prior to the service from 10:00am - 11:00am on Wednesday at the funeral home.
