Mrs. Lorraine (Kipisz) Junewick, age 90, of Walker, Michigan, went to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Tuesday, February 6, 2024. She was born on October 26, 1933, at her family farm in Boyne Falls, Michigan to Stephen and Teresa (Romanik) Kipisz. Lorraine graduated from Boyne Falls High School in 1951. She moved to Grand Rapids to continue her education at Davenport College and met the love of her life Norbert W. Junewick, and was married on August 4, 1956, at St. Andrew Cathedral. She was an amazing mother to three boys who kept her busy. Lorraine was employed at Houlmont and Associates where she was an office manager and underwriter, until her retirement. During her retirement years, she kept herself very active. She enjoyed playing golf, traveling with her family and friends, playing cards and was a fierce competitor in the game of left-right-center. She especially enjoyed the time spent with her family, whether it was a family dinner (fish fry), annual reunion at Boyne Falls Festival, playing euchre or watching her grandkids' school activities. Lorraine was very faithful and loved attending Mass at Holy Trinity Church.

She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Norbert; brothers, Chester, Walter, and Joseph Kipisz; sisters, Caroline Panganis and Dorothy Halsted; brother-in-law, Jerry (Betty) Junewick, sister-in-law, Christine Junewick; nephews, Robert, Norman, Jerry Panganis, and Steve Kipisz.

Lorraine will be lovingly remembered by her children; Jeff Junewick, Mark (Debby) Junewick, Jim (Lisa) Junewick; three grandchildren, Remi (Clayton) Brackett, Jake Junewick, Ali Junewick; one great grandchild, Willa Brackett; brother and sisters-in-laws, Arnie and Lynne Junewick, Ken and Mary Lou West, Tom and Carol Nezwek; many nephews and nieces. Lorraine is also survived by her special lifelong friends, Wiff and Woffers.The family would like to thank Corewell Health - Blodgett for the wonderful care they provided.

The Mass of Christian Burial will be offered on Tuesday, February 13, 2024 at 11:00 am at Holy Trinity Catholic Church, 1200 Alpine Church Rd NW, Comstock Park, MI, with Fr. Chris Rouech presiding. Interment in Holy Trinity Catholic Cemetery. Visitation will be on Monday, February 12 from 4-7 pm at Beuschel Funeral Home, 5018 Alpine Ave NW, Comstock Park, MI, where a rosary will be prayed starting at 6:30 pm. Lorraine will lie in state at church one hour prior to mass starting at 10:00 am. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Corewell Health Hospice and Palliative Care, 100 Michigan Ave NE, Grand Rapids, MI 49503.
