BARCLAY - Margaret (Peggy) Louise Barclay, of Sparta, passed away on Thursday, September 10, 2015 at the age of 100. She is preceded in death by her husband, Melvin Barclay; sisters, Evelyn and Dorothy, sons-in-law Robert Garlick and Donald Taylor. She is survived by two children, Verne Barclay and Sharlene Taylor; grandchildren Lee Garlick (Ginny Smith), Teresa (Donald) VanderJagt, Bruce (Christina) Garlick, Sarah (Ben) Witte, Rebecca (Jon) Til; several great grandchildren, Nick VanDyken (Catlin), Dannielle (Ryan) Gill, Jake Garlick, Brandi VanderJagt, Troy VanderJagt, Kaya Garlick, Gabrielle Garlick, Ethan Garlick, Trevor Stedman, Ella Garlick, Joseph Til, Julia Til, Evelyn Til, Malena Witte; several great-great-grandchildren, the youngest being Henric Gill. Peggy was a life member of the Social Order of the Beauceant. She loved to sew and made beautiful afghans and sweaters. Peggy also loved to play cards including her favorites bridge, cribbage, pinochle and solitaire. She was an excellent cook and loved to travel; visiting nearly every state in the union, and especially enjoyed Hawaii, Alaska, Branson, Missouri and British Columbia. The family will receive family and friends at the Beuschel Funeral Home, 5018 Alpine Avenue, Comstock Park on Monday, September 14, 2015 from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. A Memorial Service will follow at 12:00 noon with readings offered by Shelley Yates from the First Church of Christ, Scientist.
