Obituary

Mark Maksymowski was a man who brought a ray of sunshine into every room he walked into. He had an unforgettable personality, a heart full of love, and a sense of humor that could make just about anyone laugh. Mark had his own special way of showing people he cared, and if he wasn’t making fun of you in some kind of way, you probably hadn’t known him for long. His playful teasing was part of who he was, and those who knew him best knew there was always love behind the jokes. Mark loved listening to rock music and blaring the speakers, but no band could top his all-time favorite, TOOL.

Mark was a protective father who loved his family more than words could ever express. As the father of his only biological child, his daughter, Aleaha, he took great pride in her and never missed an opportunity to let her know just how proud he was. When Mark was proud of you, he made sure you knew it, going on and on to make sure you understood just how much you meant to him. He also loved his two stepsons, Cooper and Conner, dearly and always wanted the people he loved to be happy, taken care of, and never left struggling. If someone he cared about needed help, he wanted to be there for them. That was simply the kind of person Mark was.

Mark took great pride in his career in HVAC and his work in the Union. Throughout his career, he met countless service mechanics and coworkers who became part of his life. Even years after working together, people from previous jobs continued to reach out to him, a true reflection of the lasting impression he made on others. To Mark, relationships didn’t end when a job did. He left people with memories, laughter, and connections that lasted long after they went their separate ways. The job and love of his coworkers never stopped after he clocked out.

Outside of work, Mark loved riding dirt bikes, spending time in nature, and shooting guns with his family. He enjoyed being outdoors and making memories with the people closest to him. He also had a special place in his heart for his beloved cats, Macy, Jr, and Grace, who brought him so much love and companionship.

Mark’s greatest gift was the way he made people feel. He wanted the people around him to be happy, looked out for those he loved, and made sure the people who mattered to him knew it. Whether he was making someone laugh, offering a helping hand, protecting his family, or proudly reminding someone how much he believed in them, Mark had a way of making people feel seen and loved.

Mark was preceded in death by his wife, Jennifer (Burkey) Maksymowski and father-in-law, Richard Davidson. Those left to cherish his memory include his daughter, Aleaha Maksymowski, and her mother, Candice (Davidson) Maksymowski; his stepsons, Cooper and Conner Heck; his father, Joseph Maksymowski; his mother, Diane Morrow; his siblings, Devin, Chase, and Tanya Maksymowski, and Jennifer Gundy; mother-in-law, Lydia Davidson and her partner, Tim Zawacki; along with numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.

The loss of Mark leaves an emptiness that cannot be filled. The world has lost a man who brought sunshine into every room, laughter into everyday moments, and love into the lives of so many. The memories he created, the people he helped, the friendships he built, and the pride he shared with those he loved will continue to live on. His family, friends, coworkers, and everyone fortunate enough to have known him will carry a piece of him forever.

Mark will be remembered for his big personality, his protective heart, his endless humor, his love for his family, and the lasting mark he left on so many lives. He was the kind of person people didn’t simply forget, and the love he gave will never be forgotten.

Forever loved, forever missed, and forever making us smile through the memories he left behind.
