Obituary

Mary Kay VanOeffelen, age 61, of Comstock Park, MI passed away on Tuesday, October 1, 2024.  She was preceded in death by her parents, Joseph and Agnes VanOeffelen; her sisters, Joanne Beak, Jean Skinner; brother, Charles VanOeffelen; sister-in-law, Mary VanOeffelen.  Mary Kay is survived by and will be deeply missed by her siblings, Joseph VanOeffelen Jr., John "Jack" (Jill) VanOeffelen, David (Jeanette) VanOeffelen, Kathy Gagnon, James (Kathy) VanOffelen; many nieces and nephews.  Mary Kay was a lifetime member of Holy Trinity Catholic Church.  She participated in the Special Olympics and enjoyed swimming, bowling, Nascar, playing cards and dice.  Friends and relatives may meet the family on Thursday, October 17, from 6:00 - 8:00 pm at Beuschel Funeral Home, 5018 Alpine Ave NW, Comstock Park for a visitation.  A rosary will be prayed starting at 7:30 pm.  Mass of Christian Burial will be offered on Friday, October 18, 11:00 am at Holy Trinity Catholic Church, 1200 Alpine Church Rd NW, Comstock Park, MI.  Mary Kay will lie in state one hour prior to mass at church.  Interment Holy Trinity Catholic Cemetery.  In memory of Mary Kay, please consider memorial donations to Holy Trinity Catholic Church or Special Olympics of Michigan.
