DOMINGO - Matias Domingo, age 51, of Grand Rapids, entered into eternal rest on Saturday, May 16, 2020 due to complications from COVID-19. He was preceded in death by his father Miguel Matias. Matias is survived by his wife Candelaria Pedro of 16 years; mother Valentina Domingo; children, Valentina, Ventura, Miguel, Christina, Romario, Pablo, and Matias Domingo Jr.; step-children, Maria Candelaria Velasquez, Felipe Manuel, Kassandra Francisco, and Federico Francisco; and siblings, Magdalena Matias, Moises Aguilar, Pablo Aguilar, Aguilar Domingo, Luarga Domingo, Eve Lopez, Ventura Matias, and Miguel Aguilar. Matias was a lifelong member of St. Mary's Catholic Church in Grand Rapids and was studying to be a deacon for the Grand Rapids Catholic diocese. He was a proud, loving father and husband and a good friend to everyone. A private visitation will be held Thursday, May 21, 2020 from 2:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the Beuschel Funeral Home 5018 Alpine Avenue with a Rosary Service at 7:30 p.m. A private graveside service will be held at Washington Park Cemetery 1205 Richmond Street NW on Friday, May 22, 2020 at 11:00 a.m. In memory of Matias, please consider making memorial contributions towards the family's expenses.
