Matthew Joseph Scheidel, age 62, unexpectedly passed away on Monday, January 22, 2024. Matt was a quiet, gentle person with a big heart who probably had no idea how much he was loved by family and friends alike. He was the best papa in the world. Matt was always there to pitch in and help his family with any project. He was preceded in death by his wife, Deborah (Chatman); son, Mitchell, parents, Pat and Patty Scheidel; brother, Louis; parents-in-law, Frank and Joyce Chatman. Matt is survived by his son, Jacob (Shannon) Scheidel; grandchildren, Connor Hickox, Addison, Owen, and Lincoln Scheidel; siblings, Greg (Linda) Scheidel, David (Beth) Scheidel, Joan (Francois) Jean, Christine (Keith) Benzin, Brian Scheidel, Margaret (Bill) Gingrich, Sara (Keith) Hutchens, Sharon (Ted) Belliel; many nieces, nephews, and cousins. A Memorial Service will be held on Monday, January 29, 6:00 pm at Beuschel Funeral Home, 5018 Alpine Ave NW, Comstock Park, MI. Family will receive visitors at Beuschel Funeral Home on Monday from 4:00 to 6:00 pm prior to the service.
