Melanie Marie Umlor, age 57, passed away on Sunday, August 11, 2024 at Mission Point Nursing Home in Belding, MI.  Melanie was born in Grand Rapids, MI on August 23, 1966 to John and Donna (Corner) Umlor.  She graduated from Sparta High School in 1984, then went on to Kendall College graduating with an art degree in 1989.  Melanie was very talented in the fine arts, especially drawing landscapes.  She moved out to Seattle, WA where she was a Yoga Instructor and continued her passion of art.  Melanie moved back to MI after she was diagnosed with early onset Dementia.  She was preceded in death by her parents, John and Donna Umlor; niece, Bridgette Devine. Melanie is survived by her sister, Shannon (Fred) Stanley; brother, Kevin (Bobbie) Umlor; nephew, Braedon Plank; nieces and nephews, Kourtney, Kali, Kyle, and Kaleb Umlor.  A memorial visitation will be held on Thursday, August 15, from 5:00 - 7:00 pm at Beuschel Funeral Home, 5018 Alpine Ave NW, Comstock Park, MI 49321.
