HALL - Michael J. Hall age 71, of Kalamazoo, formerly of Grand Ledge, passed on Monday, February 10, 2014 and is at peace. Mike was preceded in death by his loving wife, of 17 years, Frances Mae (Thoune) Hall and his parents, Mark and Evelyn Hall. He is survived by his beautiful children, Mike G. (Linda) of Grand Ledge, Kyle of Alaska, Jennifer (Todd) Rees of Grand Rapids, Stephanie Hall of Lansing; precious grandchildren, Nathan and Lauren Rees; brothers, Mark (Brenda), Bob, Terry and Bill (Shelly); several nieces and nephews. Mike was born and raised in Warren, Michigan. He worked in domestic and international adoption, as well as with aid organizations, involving education and medicine in South America. Mike was a generous and a kind person who enjoyed people and donated to many causes. He enjoyed traveling to Alaska to see his son Kyle. Mike looked forward to an annual trip with his brothers, and traveled globally with his sister in-law, Wanda Dowdall and other family members. A Memorial Service will be held at Western Michigan University on Saturday, February 22, 2014 at 3:00 p.m., with visitation one hour prior, at Kanley Chapel, 1903 West Michigan Avenue, Kalamazoo.
