TELDER- Mr. Michael J. Telder age 66, of Comstock Park, passed away Tuesday, November 30, 2021. He was born December 8, 1954 in Grand Rapids, MI to Norman and Mary Jo (Rypma) Telder. Michael graduated from Kenowa Hills High School. He was employed as a groundskeeper with the Forest Hills Public School District for thirty years, until his retirement in 2017. Michael married the former Maryjo Boom on April 7, 1995 on Beaver Island, MI. He was an avid outdoorsman, enjoying fishing and deer hunting. Michael was a kind spirited man with a big heart and was always ready to help others. He was well known in the neighborhood for his meticulously manicured lawns. Michael was also a man of great faith and was a member of Assumption Blessed Virgin Mary Catholic Church. He is survived by his wife Maryjo Telder; one daughter, Madison (fiancée Connor von der Hoff) Telder; two sons, Brian (Jenni) Telder and Brent Telder; three grandchildren Lexi, Olivia and Colton; one brother, Mark Telder; one sister, Diane (Patrick) Ellis; one brother-in-law, Bob (Louise) Boom; one sister-in-law, Dori (Matt) Keller. He is also survived by his father and mother-in-law, Dan (Joann) Boom; several nieces and nephews; Grand dog, Millie. He was preceded in death by his parents. The Mass of Christian Burial for Michael will be offered Saturday, December 4, 2021 at 11:00am from Assumption Blessed Virgin Mary Catholic Church, with Fr. Tony Pelak presiding. Interment will be made in Rosedale Memorial Park. Visitation will be Friday from 3-5pm and 6-8pm at Assumption Blessed Virgin Mary Catholic Church, 6390 Belmont Ave. NE, Belmont, MI 49306.
