Mr. Norbert Walter Junewick, age 91, of Walker, Michigan, passed away Friday, February 25, 2022. He was born on February 8, 1931 in Grand Rapids, Michigan to Walter and Pauline (Downer) Junewick. Norbert graduated from Catholic Central High School with the class of 1949. He married Lorraine Kipisz on August 4, 1956 at St. Andrew's Cathedral. Norbert was employed as a Quality Control Engineer for Lear Siegler and Smith Industries, until his retirement in 1993. He also served his country as a veteran of the U.S. Air Force during the Korean War. During his retirement years, he kept himself very active. His favorite pastimes were golfing, fishing and traveling with his family and friends. He especially enjoyed having family fish fries with all the fish that he caught. Norbert was a member of Holy Trinity Catholic Church, where he sang in the choir for many years. He is survived by his loving wife of 65 years, Lorraine Junewick; three sons, Jeff Junewick, Mark (Debby) Junewick, Jim (Lisa) Junewick; three grandchildren, Remi (Clayton) Brackett, Jake Junewick, Ali Junewick; one brother, Arnie (Lynne) Junewick; three sisters, Mary Lou (Ken) West, Carol (Tom) Nezwek, Chrissy Junewick; one sister-in-law, Betty Junewick. Norbert was preceded in death by his parents and his brother Jerry Junewick. Norbert is also survived by his special lifelong friends, Whiff and Whoofers. The Mass of Christian Burial for Norbert will be offered Friday, March 4, 2022 at 11:00 am from Holy Trinity Catholic Church, 1200 Alpine Church Rd., Comstock Park, MI, with Fr. Chris Rouech presiding. Interment will be in Holy Trinity Catholic Cemetery. Visitation will be Thursday, March 3, 2022 from 2-4 & 6-8 pm at the Beuschel Funeral Home, 5018 Alpine Ave., NW, where the Rosary will be prayed at 7:30 pm.
