Philip K. Jager, age 84, of Comstock Park, passed away on Saturday, June 24, 2023 at Faith Hospice Trillium Woods. Phil was preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Helen Jager; his brothers, Mike, Gary and Bill, and his sister Sheila. He is survived by his children Julie (Mark) Roman, Diane Atkinson, Brian Jager, Lisa Holtzclaw; his granddaughter, Holly Holtzclaw; sisters Patricia (Ray) Averill and Mary (Dan) Umlor; many nieces and nephews; many special friends and former colleagues. Phil served in the Grand Rapids Police Department for over 36 years and retired as a Captain. He loved Tiger and Whitecaps baseball, being a softball umpire and always liked to speak of his time in the Air Force while stationed in Moriarty, New Mexico. As per Phil's request cremation as taken place and no funeral or memorial service will be held.
