Philip Andrew Obetts Sr., age 94, of Comstock Park, entered into eternal rest on Monday, June 10, 2024. He was preceded in death by his wife, Jacqueline Lenore Obetts; his parents, Ernest and Helen Obetts; brothers and sisters, Rich (Mary) Obetts, Carl (Barbara) Obetts, Ray (Char) Obetts, Rita (Jim) Paas, Edward Obetts and Helen Louise Obetts; son-in-law, James K. Weber; father and mother-in-law, Stanley and Grace Levondoski; brother-in-law, James Levondoski; sisters-in-law, Ila Mae Levondoski, Patricia (John) Van Ess, Geri (Tom) Kowalczyk.

Philip is survived by his children, Phil Obetts Jr., Suzanne Weber, Michael (Kim) Obetts, Loretta (Dennis) Warner; 11 grandchildren; 3 step-grandchildren; 27 great-grandchildren; one great great-granddaughter; sisters-in-law, Arlene Obetts, Fran (Don) Bajema, Virginia (Rolland) DeWinter.

Philip was a loving father, grandfather, great grandfather and great great-grandfather. He belonged to the American Legion Post 47, Comstock Park Rotary, where he volunteered for many years at the chicken barbecue in Lydell Park, and the Boat & Canoe Club. Phil loved to golf. He also loved scratch off lotto tickets and his 1967 Convertible Chevy Impala which he sold not too long ago.

Relatives and friends may greet the family on Wednesday, June 12 from 2-4 pm and 6-8 pm at Beuschel Funeral Home, 5018 Alpine Ave NW, Comstock Park, MI. A rosary will be prayed starting at 7:30 pm. Mass of the Christian Burial will be offered on Thursday, June 13, 11:00 am with Fr. Tom Simons officiating. Philip will lie in state one hour prior to mass at the church starting at 10:00 am. Those who wish may make memorial donations in memory of Philip to the American Heart Association or Holy Trinity Catholic Church.
