RUSSELL - Phillip M. Russell, age 74, of Sparta, went to Heaven on Tuesday, October 13, 2015. Phil was preceded in death by his parents, Harold and Evelyn (Stoepker) Russell, brothers, Robert and Timothy; He is survived by his beloved wife of 54 years, Camella "Cam" Russell; son, Parry Russell; daughters, Paige (Mark) Tehennepe, Candice Russell and Lori (Dan) Dunham; grandchildren, Ezran, Eli and Jordyn Tehennepe, Amber Dunham, Chad and Stephanie Gillespie; great-grandchildren, Dean and Paydin Gillespie; sisters, Carol Beebe and Dianne (Ken) Olczak; in-laws, nieces, nephews, cousins and his many friends in Mi., Co., Tx., Ark., and Alb. Phil proudly served his country in the United States Marine Corps, enlisting at the age of 17, during the Vietnam War. He was an active member of the NRA and he was a professional motorcycle racer on flat tracks and ice tracks. Phil was employed with Leedy Manufacturing Company, Industrial Machining in Grand Rapids for 30 years. Please join the family for visitation at the Beuschel Funeral Home, 5018 Alpine Avenue, from 6 to 8 p.m., on Thursday, October 15, 2015. The Mass of Christian Burial will be offered on Friday, October 16, 2015 at 12:30 p.m., with visitation one hour prior to the Mass, at Holy Family Catholic Church, with Rev. Father Rock J. Badgerow as celebrant. A luncheon will be provided after the Mass of Christian Burial at the Beuschel Funeral Home.
