Richard “Dick” Dale Babler, age 86, of Comstock Park, Michigan, passed away on Thursday, April 2, 2026, in Zeeland, Michigan. He was born December 17, 1939, in Pacific Grove, California, to the late Floyd and Ruth (Welch) Babler.

Dick was a believer in Jesus Christ and trusted Him every day. Woodland Drive-In Church in Grand Rapids was his church home for 26 years. Dick enjoyed listening regularly to Dr. J Vernon McGee on the radio. This influenced him to be a better husband and father over the years.

Survivors include his children, Kathleen Passow, Ruth (Scott) Foster, and Richard Babler Jr.; grandchildren, Dale, Kerriann, Allen, Justin (Chelsea), Sarah, Taylor, Breanna, and Michael; great-grandson, Lucas; and brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Frank (Barb) Foss, Bill (Joan) Foss, Lois VanDyk, Art Decker, and Ken (Marlene) Decker.

Dick was preceded in death by his wife, Linda; his parents, Floyd and Ruth Babler; and siblings, Ida McCune, Floy Marie Reed, Charles Babler, and William Babler.

His family would like to thank Faith Hospice for their diligent expertise and guidance during the last two months. This brought significant peace to Dick and the entire family in his final days.

Per Dick's wishes cremation has taken place and no formal services will be held at this time.
