FISHER - Richard (Rick) E. Fisher, age 63, of Grand Rapids, passed away surrounded by his loved ones, on Saturday, June 7, 2014. Rick was preceded in death by his father, Edward Fisher and brothers in-law, Gerald Triick and Eugene Dietrich. He is survived by his loving wife, Joan of 36 years; beloved mother, Virginia Fisher; sister, Deborah (Stephen) Friar; in-laws, Rose and Ben Looks, Jim and Sue Dietrich, Alice Triick, Bob and Judy Dietrich, Barb Dietrich, Ken and Diane Dietrich, Gordon and Sharyl Dietrich and Pam Bergman; aunt, Joan Peterson; cousins, and many nieces and nephews. Rick became a pilot, which was his true love. He served his country as a Vietnam Veteran in the U.S. Army. After returning home from the service he was employed with Knapp and Vogt as a corporate pilot. Later his career led him to Fifth Third Bank. The family will receive family and friends at the Beuschel Funeral Home, 5018 Alpine Avenue, Comstock Park on Wednesday, June 11 from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. The celebration of Rick's life will be offered at 11:00 a.m., on Wednesday, June 11,with Pastor Frank Graves of Immanuel Lutheran Church as celebrant and Under the Auspice of Kent County Honor Guard. Interment will be at St. Mary's Cemetery in Marne. The family requests in memory of Rick, we each show kindness to others, just as he lived his life.
