ZELMER- Richard (Rick) Zelmer, age 59, of Comstock Park passed away September 21, 2011 unexpectedly; he went to be with his Lord and Savior. Rick is survived by his loving wife of 10 years, Susan Zelmer; step children Michelle (Jolyon) Sasse and Jack Bryan; brother Tom (Diana) Zelmer; sister Janice (Jim) Watson of St. Joseph, MI. He was preceded in death by his parents Arthur and Lorrain Zelmer of Berrien Springs, sister Carol Foster, and brother Ted Zelmer. Rick was a manufacturing engineering manager at DeMatic Corporation for 21 years. He loved to spend his time hunting, sailing, watching NASCAR racing, and enjoying time with his wife, whether traveling or being at home. The family will receive visitors at the Beuschel Funeral Home, located at 5018 Alpine Avenue, Comstock Park, on Saturday, September 24, from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. and 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. A service will be offered on Sunday, September 25, at 3:00 p.m. at the Beuschel Funeral Home with Pastor Mark Bowditch as celebrant.
