Rick was never one to shy away from a challenge or adventure; he was an ultimate hustler and always found a way to make a buck or two. Those who knew Rick saw his true heart and loved him dearly. Nobody was a stranger to Rick and even if you were a passenger on an elevator he would strike up a conversation. He had a generous, giving heart, and would help anyone who was in need. Rick was positive, friendly, jestful, and outgoing right to the time of his death. His last words to his nurse were, "Okay, woman, bring me my food!" Rick had a true "green thumb" and passion for growing plants and flowers, which he was a master at. He realized his dream by opening and running his business "Bela Floral" in Ludington, Michigan, up until his health got the better of him. Rick enjoyed long walks on the beach, reading a good mystery book, watching Survivor, and eating good food while spending quality time with his family. He was always positive, upbeat, and charismatic; everyone loved to be around Rick. In accordance with Rick's wishes, cremation will take place with a celebration of life at a later date.
