McCracken, Robert James McCracken, age 88, of Alpine Township, passed away peacefully surrounded by his family at home on Monday, August 7, 2023. He was preceded in death by his parents, Ernest and Almo McCracken; parents-in-law, Harold and Madelyn Klenk; sister, Sue Lewis; brother-in-law, Bill (Jeanne) Klenk. Bob will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 63 years, Shirley; brother, Ernest McCracken Jr., in-laws, Robert (Marge) Klenk, Mary Jane (Ron) Kline, Rick (Marsha) Klenk; many nieces and nephews. After serving in the Army during the Korean Conflict, Bob worked at GM Automotive in the Production Department. He loved being outdoors, especially fishing and hunting at his place in Manistee, MI. Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Monday, August 14, 11:00 am at Holy Trinity Catholic Church, 1200 Alpine Church Rd., Comstock Park, MI, with Fr. Tom Simons presiding, with visitation one hour prior to Mass. Visitation will be held on Sunday, August 13, from 4:00 to 7:00 pm at Beuschel Funeral Home, 5018 Alpine Ave NW, Comstock Park, MI. A rosary will be prayed starting at 7:00 pm. Family would like to thank the excellent team at Spectrum Hospice for their wonderful care and compassion.
