Ronald Martin Ingersoll, passed away surrounded by his family on Friday, May 9, 2025, at St. Ann's Home. He was 83 years old. Ronald was born on September 27, 1941, in Grand Rapids, Michigan, where he would spend his entire life, contributing to the community he loved. He was a proud graduate of St. Joseph Seminary, and he dedicated 59 years of his career to Knape and Vogt Manufacturing as a Manufacturer Plater, finally retiring in 2019.
A man of faith, Ronald was a committed member of the Holy Trinity Catholic Church community. He was also a 3rd degree member of the Knights of Columbus and found joy and purpose in serving and participating in church activities.
Ronald had a passion for collecting clocks, pocket watches, and stamps. He enjoyed attending antique shows where his avid collecting could grow. He also cherished his time spent gardening, where he nurtured his plants and found peace in nature.
He leaves behind his devoted wife of 64 years, Judith, and their children; Doug Ingersoll, Greg (Amy) Ingersoll, Paula Tellkamp, Ronda (John) Beamer, and Jeff (Lisa) Ingersoll. He will be dearly missed by his grandchildren, Andrew Ingersoll, Tyler Ingersoll, Jaylyn Ingersoll, Brielle Ingersoll, Samantha Sandison, Joseph (Tiffany) Brooke, Alicia (Josh) Hibbs, and Ashley Beamer, as well as his great-grandchildren, Oliver Beamer and Alexis Hibbs; sisters, Jean (Chet) Miller, Mary (Greg) Martisius, and Reyne (Phil) Knutson, and his sister-in-law, Sheila Ingersoll, in addition to many nieces and nephews. He joins in eternal rest his parents, Martin and Marie Ingersoll; his son, Kevin Ingersoll; daughter-in-law, Sheri Ingersoll; and siblings, Bruce Ingersoll, Brian Ingersoll, Paul Ingersoll, and Joyce Fawley.
The family will receive friends and relatives for visitation on Wednesday, May 14, 2:00-4:00 pm and 6:00-8:00 pm at Beuschel Funeral Home, 5018 Alpine Ave NW, Comstock Park, MI. A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered on Thursday, May 15, at 11:00 am at Holy Trinity Catholic Church, 1200 Alpine Church Rd NW, Comstock Park, MI. Ronald will lie in state one hour prior to mass at the church from 10:00-11:00 am. Interment Alpine Center Cemetery, Alpine Twp, MI. In lieu of flowers, please consider memorial donations in Ronald's name to Holy Trinity Catholic Church building fund, St. Ann's Home, or Alpine Township Historical Commission.
