Ronald Allan Kozlowski, known affectionately to all as Ron, was a beacon of joy who brought laughter and warmth to every room he entered. Born on February 22, 1957, in Grand Rapids, MI, Ron led a life marked by selflessness, humor, and an unfaltering dedication to his loved ones. On December 12, 2023, surrounded by the love of his family, Ron passed away peacefully from natural causes in Comstock Park, MI.
Ron's journey began as the youngest of 4 children, where he spent his childhood and later years enriching the lives of those around him. His life was a testament to the enduring bonds of family and the simple pleasures that bring the greatest joy. With Nancy, his beloved wife of many years, Ron built a life filled with laughter and love. Together, they raised a beautiful family, each member a reflection of Ron's kindhearted and jovial spirit.
His legacy is lovingly carried on by his devoted wife, Nancy; his daughter, Megan Westhouse; his son, Zack Kozlowski; his son-in-law, Jared Westhouse; his sister, Arlene (Jim) Clinton; and his brothers, Tom (Sue) Kozlowski and Jim (Erin) Kozlowski. Ron was predeceased by his son, Derek Kozlowski; and his parents, Anthony and Rose Kozlowski, whom were held dearly in his heart until his last breath. Ron was a friend, a confidant, and a pillar of strength to his family, always there with a comforting embrace or a perfectly timed joke to lighten the mood.
Ron's career as an upholsterer spanned over 37 years, where he was known for his meticulous craftsmanship and friendly banter with clients and coworkers alike.
Despite his busy career, Ron always found time for what he cherished most-spending time with his family. Whether it was enjoying the tranquil views at their cottage by the lake or engaging in the simple pleasure of a shared meal, Ron knew the value of being present and making memories. His ability to turn mundane moments into cherished memories will be deeply missed.
Ron's interests weren't limited to the joy he found in his work and family life. In his younger years he enjoyed photography as well as hunting and fishing with friends. His sense of humor was one of his most endearing qualities. He was the master of dad jokes, always ready with a quip that was sure to elicit eye rolls and laughter in equal measure. The words that best describe Ron are funny, friendly, and selfless-a man who gave freely of himself and asked for little in return.
As we say farewell to Ronald Allan Kozlowski, we celebrate a life lived to its fullest-a life full of laughter and love. His spirit endures in the countless lives he touched and in the loving family he nurtured. We honor his memory by holding close the joy he spread and striving to live with the same generosity of spirit that defined his life. Ron's family and friends will forever hold dear the memories of his gentle humor, his unwavering support, and his profound ability to make each person feel uniquely special. He will be profoundly missed and eternally cherished.
