Rory Elizabeth Bent-Buist, age 3, of Grand Rapids, went peacefully into the arms of Jesus Christ on Tuesday, March 28, 2017. Rory is survived by her parents, Mary and Mitch Bent-Buist; brother, Brooks Bent-Buist; grandparents, Thomas Jr. and Christine Becker, Mike and Michelle Bent and Dave Buist; great-grandparents, Mary Guelzo, Charlotte "Mickey" Becker, Karen Bent, Gerry Buist and Francis Timmermans; aunts and uncles, Thomas III (Sarah) Becker, Julia (Daniel) Courturier, Jaclyn (Benjamin) Jackson, Maxwell Bent, Melaina Bent, Madeline Bent, McKenna Bent, Amber (David) Cook, Elijah Buist, Nicholas Buist and Noah Buist and many cousins. She was preceded in death by her great-grandparents, Louis Furman, Bud Timmermans, Gerald Bent, Thomas Becker Sr. and Daniel Burdick. Rory loved being with her family and playing with her younger brother. She had a vibrant outlook on life and lived her life completely. The family will receive family and friends at the Beuschel Funeral Home, 5018 Alpine Avenue, Comstock Park, on Sunday, April 2, 2017 from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m., and 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. The celebration of Rory's life will be held on Monday, April 3, 2017 at Grace Bible Church 735 Buth Drive, Comstock Park, at 11:00 a.m., with Pastor John Campbell, officiating, with visitation one hour prior at the Church.
