HODGES - Ruth Catherine (Neubecker) Hodges, age 88, of Sparta, passed away suddenly from her life here on earth to join her loved ones in heaven on Monday, October 26, 2015 the same day she lost her father 53 years ago. She was preceded in death by her husband of 49 years, John; son-in-law, Mark Clark; grandson, Kyle Wilson; great grand daughter, Grace Clark and her many brother and sister in-laws. Ruth is survived by her 12 children; Richard (Karen) Hodges, Daniel (Bonnie) Hodges, Nancy Hodges, Shirley Clark, Sharon (Larry) Johnson, Janice (Jeff) Morse, Ruth Ann Hodges, John (Sandy) Hodges, Linda (Tim) Antor, Carol Brenner, Connie (Dan) Wilson and Kristina (Pete) Horrigan; 27 grandchildren; 16 great grandchildren; sisters, Mary (Bob) Messrah and Clara Gilmore; brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Karl (Barb) Hodges, many nieces, nephews and friends. Ruth lived a full active life. She was a devoted homemaker and her family meant everything to her. Ruth raised her children, one having special needs as a loving, caring, giving mother with a heart of gold. She enjoyed playing euchre and working crosswords. Ruth loved dining out and always saved room for dessert. She was a member of Holy Family Catholic Church in Sparta for many years. Please join the family for visitation at the Beuschel Funeral Home, 5018 Alpine Avenue, on Wednesday, October 28 from 6 to 8 p.m. and on Thursday, October 29 from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m., with a Vigil Service at 7:30 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered on Friday, October 30, 2015 at 11:00 a.m., with visitation one hour prior to the Mass, at Holy Family Catholic Church, with Rev. Msgr. Terrence L. Stewart as celebrant.
