AVERILL - Scott L. Averill, age 46, of Comstock Park, unexpectedly passed away Sunday, September 8, 2019. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Frank Averill and Janice Heiney and Mae Woodman; and uncle, Les Averill. Scott is survived by his son, Jace Averill; mother, Val Nostrant; father, LeRoy "Bud" (Cindy) Averill; loving grandfather Allen King (Joyce Sidote); sister, Shannon Averill (fiance Ron Christopher); aunts, Sue Brown (Bob Barnes), Ginni (Tim) McClellan; uncle, Bob King; and nephew, Justen Averill. Scott was a 1991 graduate of Creston High School. He worked for the United States Post Office. One of Scott's greatest loves was sports and he made great memories with his mother explaining sports and watching the games together. Scott enjoyed bowling and his time on the water in Traverse City. Visitation with the family and friends will take place at the Beuschel Funeral Home, 5018 Alpine Avenue NW, Comstock Park, on Friday, September 13, 2019, from 1:00 to 5:00 pm. The celebration of Scott's life will follow at 5:00 p.m. at Beuschel Funeral Home with Pastor Dale Kleinheksel as celebrant.
