MORTON - Scott D. Morton, age 40, of Grand Rapids (formerly of St. Charles, Missouri), passed away very unexpectedly on Monday, August 1, 2016. Scott is survived by his son, Tyler Morton; mother, Rebecca Scheidegger; sisters, Donetta (Doug) Schieffer, Robin (Darrell) Hankins and Ann Bruce; nieces, Alexandria Kane, Katelyn Schieffer and Carrie Hankins; nephews, Matthew (Cassie) Schieffer, Timmy Schieffer, Cody Ozenkoski, Blake Hankins, Michael Kane and Dalton Bruce; great-niece, Leah Schieffer; great-nephews, Luke Schieffer and Grayson Ozenkoski; aunts and uncles Dave (Lisa) Poore of Muskegon, Kevin (Lisa) Poore, Charollet Fuller and Glennether Maskey of Kent City. He was preceded in death by his father, Cecil Morton and brother-in-law, Keith Bruce. Scott was a truck driver for several years. He loved his family and enjoyed spending time with his son. The memorial service will be held Thursday, August 20, 2016 at St. Stephen United Methodist Church in Troy, Missouri.
