Steven Wayne Howard, affectionately known as "Howie," age 56, of Comstock Park, Michigan, passed away on November 1, 2025.

Born on April 10, 1969, in Saginaw, Michigan, Steven was the son of Fielding Ronald and Marjorie Lee (Dean) Howard. He was a proud graduate of Coopersville High School, Class of 1987.

In 1990, Steven married the love of his life, Christi (House) Howard. Together, they shared 35 wonderful years of marriage and built a beautiful family, raising two daughters, Chelsea and Kaitlyn.

Steven was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather. His most cherished title was "Happa," given to him by his beloved grandchildren, Madelyn and Jackson.

He will be remembered for his bright sense of humor, unwavering loyalty, and generous heart. Steven was an avid fisherman and hunter, happiest when spending time outdoors or tinkering in his barn. To those who knew him best, he was affectionately known as "the people's champion", always ready to lend a hand, share a laugh, or give you a call to remind you how much you were loved.

Steven is survived by his loving wife, Christi; daughters, Chelsea (Aaron) Wise and Kaitlyn (Zachery) Wang; and grandchildren, Madelyn Wang and Jackson Wise. He is also survived by his mother, Marjorie Howard; siblings, Scott (Amy) Howard, Christine Harig, and Jennifer (Delfino) Contreras; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father, Fielding Ronald Howard.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Sunday, November 16, 2025, at The Vestal Inn, 6255 West River Drive NE, Belmont, MI 49306, from 2:00p.m. until 4:00p.m., with a brief memorial service and sharing of memories starting at 2:00p.m.
