RAUSER - Susan Kay Rauser, age 72, of Sparta, formerly of Kentwood, passed away to be with Jesus Christ on Monday, January 25, 2021. Susan was preceded in death by her parents, Burt Cornell and Charolette Peasley. She is survived by her loving children, Chad Brooks, Carrie Brooks, Carmen (Jason Converse) Brooks, Cassey Bradley, and Christia (Salvador) Carrillo; grandchildren, Kendra Vos, Cherie Thomas, Katlyn Vos, Rachael Morse, Kiersten Vos, Destiny Carrillo, Danny Bradley, Christian Carrillo, Salvador Carrillo Jr., Liam Carrillo, Kaisen Johnson, Brandon Brooks, Ruben Brooks, and Jullian Parr; great-grandchildren, Izaiah Thomas and Nixon Thomas. She has worked at Family Fare in Sparta. Susan was always so full of life and was often found dancing and enjoying music. She will be remembered most for her strength and wisdom. Susan was the strongest woman her children have ever known. She was the head of her family and always led them well. Susan was a woman of God who was always young at heart. She loved being "Meme" to her grandchildren. The family will receive family and friends at Beuschel Funeral Home, 5018 Alpine Avenue, Comstock Park, on Friday, January 29, 2021 from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. The funeral service will follow at 3:00 p.m., with Pastor Dale Kleinheksel officiating a graveside service in Fairplains Cemetery, Sparta.
