ALT- Suzanne Alt, age 73, of Alpine Township, entered into eternal rest with her family at her side on Friday, April 17, 2020. She is preceded in death by her parents, Gerald and Arleen LaBelle. Suzie will be lovingly remembered by her husband, Ron; her children, Scott Postal, Steven (Deanna) Postal, Mark (Gail) Alt, Angela (John) VanderWerff; grandchildren, Megan, Justin, Abigail, Hannah and Tomas Postal, Connie, Michael, Ryan (Molly), Alysha, Jonathan, Hannah, Kyle and Katelyn; great-grandchildren, Lexi, Liam and Mylen; brother, Rich (Linda) LaBelle; nieces, Niki (Glen) Briggs and Bailey; nephew, Jared (Lana) LaBelle and Preston, Pierce and Reagan, and many special friends. In the Fall of 1950, Suzie entered Comstock Park Elementary school and after thirteen years of fun, frivolity, and some studying, Suzie graduated with her Kindergarten friends, many of whom are still her best friends. Following high school, she graduated from Chic University of Cosmetology and thus started her career at Herpolsheimer's Hair Salon. While Scott and Steven were young, Suzie followed her calling to become a nurse. She worked at Mary Free Bed and volunteered each Fall at the Migrant Health Clinics. Suzie enjoyed Florida winters, shopping and lunch with friends, antiquing and home decorating, and being a farmer's wife. Suzie battled her illness with courage and grace, and while still maintaining her special "Suzie" sense of humor. She will leave a void in the hearts of all who loved her. A private visitation will be held Thursday, April 23, 2020 at 1:00 to 6:00 p.m. A private family service will be Friday, April 24, 2020 at the Beuschel Funeral Home 5018 Alpine Ave. Comstock Park with Rev. Fr. Thomas Simons presiding. Interment will be in Alpine Center Cemetery. A Memorial Mass will be offered at Holy Trinity Catholic Church at later date.
