SPRUIT,-Theresa Rosalie Spruit, age 91, of Grand Rapids, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Monday, June 10, 2019. She was preceded in death by her parents, Peter and Louise Spruit, brothers, Raymond (Donna), Joseph (Florence), William (Beatrice & Carole) and Frank Spruit as well as her sister-in-law, Jane Spruit. Theresa is survived by her loving siblings, Dorothy (Bob) Visner, Mary Spruit, Bernie Spruit, Thomas (Marianne DeGraff) Spruit, Bob (Marcia) Spruit, Don (Sandy) Spruit, Patrick (Mary) Spruit as well as special niece, Sue Spruit, and Margaret Visner and many other loved nieces and nephews. Theresa was instrumental in helping her brother, Bernie (Jane), create the Swan Inn Motel and Restaurant. She also enjoyed a fulfilling career with Autodie and selflessly gave countless hours of volunteer service to Michigan Blood. Theresa also enjoyed arts and crafts and will forever be remembered for her creativity, meekness and loving kindness. The Memorial Mass of Christian Burial to celebrate and honor Theresa's life will be held on Friday, June 14, 2019 at 11:00 AM, with visitation one hour prior, at St. Alphonsus Church, 224 Carrier Street NE, Grand Rapids with Fr. Patrick Grile officiating. A luncheon will follow the Mass at the Beuschel Funeral Home, 5018 Alpine Avenue NW, Comstock Park. Interment will be held at Mt. Calvary Cemetery.
