HAMMOND - Thomas (Tom) William Hammond, age 60, of Sparta, went to be with his Lord and Savior unexpectedly on Tuesday, November 10, 2015. Tom was a funny, loving generous father, grandfather and friend. He had the ability to touch everyone's heart with his laughter and smile. Tom was a dedicated farmer of 43 years. He spent many years coaching youth and high school soccer. Tom loved Michigan State football and being with his granddaughter. He was preceded in death by his parents, Rodney and Rose Hammond. Tom is survived by his daughter, Jessica Haynes and son-in-law, Matthew Haynes; granddaughter, Isabella Haynes; brothers and sisters, Tim Hammond, Brian (Denise) Hammond and Lori Gilbert; many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, special cousins and dear friends. The family will greet family and friends at the Beuschel Funeral Home, 5018 Alpine Avenue, Comstock Park on Sunday, November 15, 2015 from 2 to 4 p.m., and 6 to 9 p.m. The Funeral Service of Tom's life will be celebrated at Algoma Baptist Church, 10515 Grange Avenue N.E., at 11:00 a.m., with visitation one hour prior on Monday, November 16, 2015 with Pastor Dave Fernlund as celebrant.
