HOMRICH, WALTER CHARLES, age 88, of Alpine Township, went to his Lord and Savior on Saturday, December 19, 2015. Walt is survived by his loving wife of 63 years, Dolores (Thome) Homrich; daughter, Barbara (Ron) Johnsen; sons, Bill (Laura), David (Loretta), Michael (fiancé, Karolyn Kaylor), James (Barb); brother, Ernest (Jean, deceased); 15 grandchildren and 20 great grandchildren; several nieces, nephews and many friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, Sebastian and Anna Homrich; brothers, Paul (Christina), Fred (Katherine), Bob (Dorothy); and sisters, Clara (John) Budinger, Frances (Bob) Burns. Walt and his brother Bob grew fruits and vegetables and began Under the Pines Market on Alpine Avenue in the early 60's. Walt's family would like to extend their sincere appreciation to all current and former employees and to all who patronized the market. Walt enjoyed bowling on a league, playing softball on the church team and boating with his family on warm summer Sundays. In his retirement years Walt and Dolores spent time enjoying grandchildren and great grandchildren, traveling extensively with friends, always taking the back roads. Walt's simple, but deep Catholic faith, was the guiding force of his life. Family and friends will be greeted at the Beuschel Funeral Home, 5018 Alpine Avenue NW, Comstock Park on Tuesday, December 22, 2015 from 1:00 to 3:00 PM and 5:00 to 8:00 PM., with a Rosary Service at 7:30 PM., with Deacon Jerry Roersma. The Funeral Mass of Christian Burial to celebrate and honor Walt's life will be held on Wednesday, December 23, 2015 at 11:00 AM, with visitation one hour prior, at Holy Trinity Catholic Church, 1200 Alpine Church Road, Comstock Park, with Fr.
