BAILEY - Waneta M. Bailey, age 86, of Grand Rapids, went to be with her Lord Jesus Christ and Savior on Tuesday, May 8, 2018. Waneta is survived by her beloved children, Thomas Pattison and Linda Pattison, Theresa Fulk, Monica Paauwe, Blaine Jr. (Rebecca), Janice Shanahan, Joseph (Barbara), Julia (James) Arends, Timothy (Terri), Patricia, Shawn (Kathleen) and daughter-in-law, Sue Bailey; 29 precious grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren; sisters, Cecelia Truesdell and Gloria Hull; brother-in-law, Robert (JoAnne), sister-in-law, Marie Massey, many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Blaine; step-son, Thomas Bailey; son-in-law, Thomas Shanahan; brothers-in-law, Charles and Donald Bailey and sister-in-law, Beverly Bieschke. Waneta's greatest love was her Lord and savior, followed by her family. She was a saint, raising 12 children and attending all of their activities. She enjoyed knitting, sewing, crafting and bowling. Waneta served on many committees including the Kenowa Hills PTA and Athletic Boosters, the American Legion Post 258 Ladies Auxiliary and Junior Leader, all while raising her children and balancing a career. The family will receive family and friends at the Beuschel Funeral Home, 5018 Alpine Avenue, Comstock Park on Monday, May 14, 2018 from 2:00 - 4:00 P.M., and 6:00 - 8:30 P.M. The funeral service celebrating Waneta's life will be offered on Tuesday, May 15, 2018 at 11:00 A.M., at the Family of Christ Lutheran Church, 1100 Henze Drive, Comstock Park, with Pastor Phil Chaffee, officiating, with visitation one hour prior at the church.
