PETRAUSKAS - William Joseph Petrauskas, age 68, of Walker, entered into eternal rest on Saturday, October 31, 2015. He was preceded in death by his mother, Mildred (Hammett) Luyster; step father, Johnathan Luyster; Father, Alphonsus Petrauskas; sister, Carmen VanderMeer and nephew, Arthur VanderMeer. Bill is survived by his loving wife of 41 years, Pam; beloved children, William Jr. (Jenn) Petrauskas, Christina (John) Withers; Kel Petrauskas and Bret (Lauren) Petrauskas; grandchildren, Lily, Charlotte, and Cora; brothers, Tony (Bev) Knight and Mike (Lin) Petrauskas; sister, Patti Anderson; brother-in-law, Arthur VanderMeer Sr., cousins, nieces and nephews. Bill also enjoyed boating, motor cycling, vacationing with the family and always had a witty sense of humor. He loved to work on cars. Bill owned and operated the Dari-Creme for twenty years in Wyoming, Michigan. He was a member of St. Adalberts Aide Society and Eastern Avenue Hall. Bill was employed at Grand Valley State University for the last twenty years. His battle with pancreatic cancer has ended and he will be deeply missed by everyone. The family will greet family and friends at the Beuschel Funeral Home, 5018 Alpine Avenue, Comstock Park, on Tuesday, November 3, 2015 from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m, with the Vigil Service at 8:00 p.m., with Al TenEyck, Pastoral Associate, as celebrant. The Mass of Christian Burial will be offered on Wednesday, November 4, 2015 at 11:00 a.m., with Rev. Father Tran D. Anton officiating, with visitation one hour prior at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Marne. Bill was very appreciative for the care he received from Spectrum Hospice.
