William A. TenBrink, of Walker, age 95, passed away peacefully in his sleep on Thursday, July 16, 2026 after a short illness. Bill was preceded in death by Marjorie, his beloved wife of 59 years. He will be lovingly remembered and missed by his children Randolph (Marie), Timothy (Sue), Catherine (Tom) Thorne, Collene (Ofelio) Alvarado and John (Debra); 17 grandchildren; 33 great grandchildren; and 1 great-great grandchild.

Bill was a veteran, having served during the Korean war. He then spent his career with the Kent County Sheriff’s department, first as an officer and then as Captain of the Kent County jail. After his retirement, he and Marjie enjoyed time with their family, golfing, traveling and spending their winters in Florida. Whether it was on the golf course, watching his Detroit Tigers, or dominating at the euchre table, Bill enjoyed life and time spent with his family and friends. He was loved beyond words, and he will be missed beyond measure.

Bill was a long-time member of Trinity Congregational Church and served on many boards and committees over the years.

Gathering of relatives and friends will take place on Wednesday, July 22, 2026, from 6:00 to 8:00 pm at Beuschel Funeral Home, 5018 Alpine Avenue NE, Comstock Park.  A celebration of Bill’s life will be held on Thursday, July 23, 2026, at 11:00 am, at Coopersville Christian Reformed Church, 200 Henry Street in Coopersville, with visitation from 10:00 until 11:00 am.  Military honors will be rendered by the United States Army and Kent County Veterans Honor Guard. Please join the family for a luncheon following the service to share stories and memories of Bill.
